Adobe Systems offers some of the most dynamic and robust platforms for content creation, production and deployment. Most of this software relies on monthly or yearly subscription costs, whether purchased directly or as part of its Creative Cloud suite. If you are having issues renewing your subscription, it can prevent you from access the software when your business needs it most. While frustrating, fixes exist for most problems associated with renewing an Adobe license.

10 - Paste generated string to the 'Response code' field of Offline Activation window, press 'Activate'. 11 - Add the following strings to your hosts file: (C: WINDOWS System32 Drivers etc 'hosts' file) 127.0.0.1 lmlicenses.wip4.adobe.com 127.0.0.1 lm.licenses.adobe.com or (alternative method) Run disable_activation.cmd. I have problems to activate Photoshop CS6 on a PC without internet access (security issue). I received a code from Adobe but without success, receive.

Credit Card Concerns

One common solution to problems renewing an Adobe license is to validate your credit card information. You should make sure that your credit card number and billing address are correct, and verify that your card has not expired. To update your information, log in to your Adobe account (link available in Resources). Under the My Subscriptions and Services tab find the product you are trying to renew and click “Active” and then click “Edit Billing.” From here you can check and, if need be, update your billing information.

Verify Your Access

According to Adobe, access to the Web and to its secure websites is a common issue disrupting renewals. First, verify the Internet connection on your PC that has the Adobe software. Next, navigate to Adobe’s website using HTTP’s secure communications version: HTTPS. If you can access the site, check your firewall settings and make sure “activate.adobe.com” is allowed for ports 80 and 443. Firewalls requiring file name should be made to give access to “PDApp.exe.”

Global Sign Root CA

Adobe uses the GlobalSign Root CA certificate as part of its sign in and activation verification process on your PC. To make sure this is installed and enabled, open your PC’s Run command and type in “certmgr.msc.” In the window that displays, click “Current User”, then click “Trusted Root Certificate Authorities” and then click “Certificates.” Right-click on the GlobalSign certificate and click “Properties.” Enable the certificate if it is not already enabled. If you can’t find the certificate, download it from Adobe (link available in Resources).

Offline Activation

If you have paid for a renewal but your computer is offline, either temporarily or permanently, you’ll need to use Adobe’s offline activation within the first week of launching the service. If it has been more than 7 days, reinstall the program first. On the product launch screen, click the “I cannot connect to the Internet' button and follow the on-screen steps to create a Request Code. Then, using a separate PC, log-in to your account on Adobe’s offline activation website (link available in Resources). Use the “Generate a Response Code” to create a response code to your request code, and enter the response code on your machine with the Adobe software. This will complete an offline renewal.
